Roles and Responsibilities Leadership: Build a world-class team of Account Managers focused on delivering high-impact results. Hire top talent, develop the team, and create career paths within the broader BD/AM org.
Serve as primary interface with external teams including Product Managers, Program Managers,
and BD/AM teams to align programs and initiatives to drive growth in existing Merchant base.
Implement BD/AM strategies and best practices while developing SOPs for the function.
Establish partnerships with internal & external teams to manage collaborative opportunities.
Management:
Identify critical business opportunities for the category/merchant base and manage the growth
plan.
Develop weekly metrics to track critical inputs and outputs and report weekly business reviews and
regular flash reports to senior management.
Study Industry trends, diagnose the root cause of performance (Brand & Team) and create
actionable plans for operational improvements.
Conduct deep-dive analysis on issues affecting Brand/Merchant business performance and
provide the Voice of the Brand/Merchant through the team to input product development and process improvement for product teams. Building selection: Will be responsible for determining customer market needs, growing selection across merchant cohorts, brands, and use cases, and getting support for marketing campaigns. Drive Brand/Merchant Success- You will be responsible for driving Brand/Merchant success on the platform by formulating strategies and inputs basis Brand/Merchant needs for your Brand/Merchant base and through your team. Managing the Brand/Merchant relationship by advocating the Merchant’s needs. Build strong communication channels at all levels of the Merchant’s organization, set proper expectations, provide clear status communications, and manage a growth plan. Business planning and communication to senior management: Develop a short-term and long-term plan for growth and report to senior management regularly on the state of crucial topline and bottom-line metrics and risk factors. Innovation: Invent and drive continuous process improvement and automation to scale a fast- growing business across our systems. Job Specifications Education Bachelor's Degree and MBA Experience Relevant: 7+ years of professional leadership experience with a proven managerial background. Business Development / Account Management team lead experience. Business Development & Account Management Experience with relationship management and negotiation skills. Experience using reviews, surveys, reporting, data modeling, and forecasting to gather inputs for making business decisions. Problem-solving passion and service orientation. 2 + years of relevant experience in sales manager / vendor manager/ category manager/account manager role. Demonstrated ability to take ownership and drive results. Strong business judgment with a track record of successful negotiations and overall relationship management. Tenacity to develop ideas independently and thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment. Effective C-level communication skills. Preferred: Deep understanding of industry and experience in managing sellers and franchisees. Experience in Consumer-facing sectors such as Retail, FMCG, FinTech, eCommerce, etc.
