R&D Team Manager

You will be working as R&D Team Manager, reporting to R&D Technology Manager for Electrification Business Area, Distribution Solutions Division based in Bangalore, India. You will be responsible to lead a team of Research and Development (R&D) scientists in the identification and development of new concepts, technologies, technology platforms and intellectual property for an assigned technology group.

Your responsibilities

• Serving as a technical resource or providing technical support for internal (research colleagues and management and business nits) and external contacts
• Giving input to technology roadmaps for assigned technology areas within the group
• Driving and fostering a culture of innovation within the department
• Supporting and overseeing transfer of technology and knowledge within the team, between internal partners
• Preparing annual budget in cooperation with Research Department Manager
• Promoting ABB R&D internally and externally to foster cooperation and knowledge sharing with external resources and communities

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Electrical / Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 10-12 years of experience in R&D Product Development.
• Experience in software & hardware product development of Power System domain.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
