Lead the overall Electronics division for the business to design and develop Motor Controllers, Chargers, and other relevant Power Electronics components
Build a strong electronics R&D capability for the business to meet upcoming OEM requirements for EV product lines within the Power Electronics space
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary R&D leader to head the Electronics & Power Electronics Division. This role is critical in driving innovation, product excellence, and technology leadership in Motor Controllers, Power Electronics & Chargers for EV 2W/3W/4W OEMs. Product Development & Innovation: Oversee the design, development, validation, and industrialisation of:
Motor Controllers (BLDC, PMSM, IPM, etc.)
On-board Chargers (OBC), Off-board Chargers / DC Fast Chargers, DC-DC Converters, and other Power Electronics modules
Ensure compliance with AIS, ARAI, ISO 26262, ASIL, IEC, and automotive-grade EMI/EMC standards
Capability Building: Drive in-house competency in areas such as:
Motor control algorithms (FOC, trapezoidal control, vector control)
Embedded systems & firmware development (AutoSAR, model-based design)
Product Portfolio Management: Rationalise and optimize the existing product portfolio for scalability, cost-efficiency, and platform commonality. R&D Leadership opportunity to work on industry leading EV Product Portfolio Design & Develop EV components for Auto OEM partners in Power Electronics Domain
B.E./B.Tech. or M.E./M.Tech. in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or related disciplines with over 20+ years of relevant experience
Proven track record of successful product launches in the EV or automotive electronics domain. Deep expertise in power electronics, motor drive systems, charger architecture, and high-voltage systems Strong understanding of vehicle electrical architecture, CAN / LIN / UDS / ISO 15118 protocols. Expertise in hardware design (analog/digital), PCB layout, and thermal and electromagnetic compatibility. Proven experience in design validation, HIL/SIL testing, and reliability engineering. Ability to leverage model-based development (MBD) and digital twin methodologies. Prior experience working with EV OEMs, Component suppliers, or automotive R&D centers. Client is a major Automotive Component player in the Indian ecosystem with strong R&D capabilities, robust customer base, and footprint across the country as well as in major global Auto hotspots.
