The Keysight Software Engineering Services Team is responsible for making our software developers more productive by selecting, developing, maintaining, and supporting software development tools used by developers throughout our company.

There are a number of opportunities on our team and the ideal candidate will possess a broad skill-set and experience where they can be used in different devops focused areas based on priorities.

Job Qualifications

Bachelors or Masters Degree or University Degree or equivalent. Typically 8+ year\'s relevant experience for entry to this level. Post-graduate and/or certification/ license may be required. Requires specialized depth and/or breadth of expertise in job. Not a natural progression from Advanced/Senior level.

Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
  • Experience with software development, debugging, and testing
  • Familiarity with IDE\'s, source control, and defect tracking tools
  • Ability to function effectively in a team environment
Desired Qualifications

The following are a list of desired qualifications. It\'s understood that a candidate may not have experience in all areas, but the more areas of familiarity the better.
  • Jenkins Proficiency
  • A strong understanding of Jenkins, including its configurations, plugins, build agents, and pipeline scripting, is a must.
  • Experience with CloudBees CI is preferred.
  • Scripting and Automation
  • Intermediate experience with Groovy and Python scripting is a must.
  • Experience with Shell or PowerShell scripting is preferred.
  • Version Control Systems (VCS)
  • Proficiency in using version control systems like Git is essential for managing code and configurations.
  • Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD)
  • A strong grasp of CI/CD concepts and best practices is crucial for developing and supporting pipelines.
  • Artifact and Package Managers
  • Familiarity with artifact storage concepts and package management tools is critical to effective pipeline development.
  • Intermediate experience with at least several of pip, Conan, npm, Chocolatey, or NuGet is a must.
  • Experience with JFrog Artifactory as an artifact management solution is preferred.
  • Experience with JFrog Xray is preferred.
  • Containerization and Orchestration
  • Knowledge of container technologies like Docker and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes is a must.
  • Secrets
  • An understanding of secret management concepts and network authorization protocols - such as SSH - and proper configuration is a must.
  • Knowledge of Hashicorp Vault for secret management is preferred.
  • Communication
  • Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with team members & stakeholders.
  • Troubleshooting and Problem-Solving
  • The ability to quickly parse Jenkins pipeline logs for troubleshooting is critical for pipeline support.
  • Bonus Qualifications: Proficiency in SharePoint Online and SharePoint Content Management
  • Strong experience with the Power Platform, including Power Automate, Power Apps, and Power BI.
  • Competency in client-side application development, including coding and integration.
  • SharePoint Framework (SPFx): Proficiency in developing web parts, extensions, and solutions using the SharePoint Framework.
  • JavaScript and TypeScript: Strong programming skills in JavaScript and TypeScript for customizing SharePoint application pages.
  • REST API: Understanding of SharePoint REST API for data retrieval and manipulation.
