R&D Cyber Security Specialist

You will be working as R&D Cyber Security Specialist and will be part of Electrification Business Area for Smart Power division based in Hyderabad, India. In this role you will be reporting to R&D Global Unit Lead and will be responsible for supporting strategic cyber security direction and future technologies, designing, architecture and implementations in alignment with group, BA, division-level strategy. Initiate and drives cyber security implementations using in-depth cyber security expertise in standards and risk-based approach.

Your responsibilities

• Defining the security architecture of the product and develops. Implementing product and services strategies and roadmaps and applying a wide variety of accepted scientific principles and security concepts.
• Defining secure development life cycle practices (SDLC), compliant with IEC 62443-4-1. Assisting product management in capturing customer driven product requirements on cyber security
• Understanding the requirements for relevant security standards, regulations, contributing to certification roadmaps and certification audits
• Ensuring third party switch gears are validated with respect to cyber security, including monitoring and managing security updates of the third party switch gears
• Understanding and ensuring compliance to industry standards and regulations to ensure ABB\xe2\x80\x99s access to relevant markets. Supporting product management in identifying and assessing market opportunities on cyber security
• Understanding customer and industry expectations and ensuring appropriate focus in product roadmaps and R&D project planning to ensure and improve competitiveness
• Contributing to incident response, vulnerability handling, root cause, risk assessment, exploitability analysis and ensuring cyber security deviations and issues are resolved and when necessary, escalate issues to the cyber security manager

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s or master degree in Computer Science or any related filed
• Minimum 5 years of working experience with cyber security in product development
• Experience from IEC 62443-4-1 certification of organizations, and IEC 62443-4-2 certification of products are desired
• Good knowledge in IEC 62443 standard
• Passionate about cyber security and enjoy working with people from different disciplines like product management, procurement, communication, etc.
