About our Team

Our team will work with global, multi-functional teams to support the strategic development of our core multi-region eCommerce platform. And other eCommerce channels supporting ~$40M of annual revenue from across the world. Our core platform technology is based on Adobe Magento (v2) along with some individual channels built on alternative stacks (inc. WordPress and other CMS-integrated solutions).

About the Role

As a Quality Test Engineer, your key focus will be to plan, develop and execute automation and manual testing. You accomplish on-time and efficient delivery of high-quality software products being developed by the Magento eCommerce Team. You will collaborate with stakeholders as we continue the evolution of our heterogeneous estate towards a more consolidated, standard platform.

Responsibilities

  • Developing and executing automated, manual and performance testing for assigned projects. You will enable delivery of high-quality software products and services on time and to specification within an agile delivery environment.
  • Interacting with Product & Project Management, Engineering and Operations teams to plan testing activities involved in the delivery of products. And enhancements to assure products meet product requirements and quality standards.
  • Reporting issues and results, researching and identifying root causes as appropriate, documenting accordingly.
  • Ensuring requirements & designs are testable & of good quality.
  • Utilizing automation (functional & non-functional) to build quality checks & tests throughout the lifecycle.
  • Championing and promote the use of agile testing techniques within the squad.
  • Ensuring appropriate quality reporting and metrics are tracked for the squad.
  • Hard-lining reporting into the Quality Engineering Manager although the role is embedded in the day-to-day activities of the Magento eCommerce engineering squad.
Requirements
  • Have bachelor education with 1+ years\' experience of working as a test automation engineer ideally within the eCommerce domain.
  • Experience of working in Agile environments following Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Have knowledge of API testing.
  • Have good understanding of microservices architecture.
  • Have proven ability to develop and execute automated testing.
  • Have experience/knowledge of behaviour driven development or test-driven development methodologies and implementation.
  • Experience of creating automated tests using a recognised test automation tool such as Cucumber, Gherkin, Postman or Selenium Web driver.
  • Experience of working with databases and writing SQL queries
