Automotive Quality Engineer Responsibilities & Duties

Develop and implement quality control processes to meet industry standards and customer requirements Conduct regular inspections and tests on products to ensure compliance with quality standards Analyze data and provide feedback to design and manufacturing teams to improve product quality Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve quality issues and prevent reoccurrence Lead continuous improvement projects and initiatives to enhance quality processes and outcomes Provide training and guidance to team members on quality control procedures and best practices
Automotive Quality Engineer Qualifications & Skills

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering, or related field Experience with quality management systems (QMS) such as ISO/TS 16949 Knowledge of statistical analysis tools and methods Familiarity with automotive manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field 3+ years of experience in a quality engineering role within the automotive industry Knowledge of quality control methodologies and best practices, including Six Sigma and ISO 9001 Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think creatively and outside the box Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and lead projects to successful completion
