Job Profile

Position details:

We are looking for a candidate who understands information technology quality assurance processes, procedures, best practices, and methods that support the successful build and deployment of IT applications, systems, and solutions. The ideal candidate should have3-5 years of prior experiencein technology/project-related roles in Banking and/or Financial Services. The candidate should be able toassist in the facilitation of continuous process improvement.

Role and Responsibilities:

The candidate will be responsible for reviewing the quality of assigned project deliverables/artifacts based on the defined Project Delivery methodology and SDLC standards across the project lifecycle (Planning, Execution, and Implementation). Activities include the following:

  • Review all project-related deliverables/artifacts (Business Requirements Document, Design Document, Testing Documents Unit Testing/SIT/UAT/Regression/etc.) and traceability from a Quality Assurance (QA) perspective to ensure quality standards are met based on the QA review/verification processes.
  • Demonstrate the application of the project governance structure for the banks ITPD Project Methodology and associated Software Development Lifecycle processes.
  • Work under a Waterfall methodology of software development/implementation and Infrastructure projects providing technology solutions.
  • Create and maintain team and organizational dashboards/scorecards and other metrics related to the support of technology projects.
  • Review and verify assigned project artifacts created by the project teams per MUFG provided templates and provide feedback/findings through QAs review/verification process.
  • Evaluate tasks performed during SIT and UAT phases of the project in order to provide best practice recommendations.
  • Perform audits to ensure process adherence, have project teams address QA feedback, and track corrective and preventive measures to close out any QA identified risks and issues.
  • Enhance Governance methodology by deploying quantitative measurement and analysis techniques.
Job Requirements:
  • Analytical thinker and experienced in Waterfall environments supporting software development/implementation and Infrastructure projects providing technology solutions.
  • Experienced in reviewing and verifying project artifacts like Business Requirements Document (BRD), Functional Design Document (FDD), Test Documents (SIT and UAT Plan/Scripts/Test Results), Traceability of requirements, etc.
  • Ability to work closely with various project team roles (Portfolio Mgr., PM, IT Leads, Test Leads) through the quality review of risks, issues to remediate and provide resolution.
  • Experienced leading small project related initiatives to a successful outcome.
  • Knowledge of testing tools - ALM and Jira/Zephyr.
  • Proficient in MS Suite of applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Prior banking/financial industry experience/background.
  • Prior SIT/UAT Testing experience.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Familiar with the SDLC and Agile methodologies.
  • Four-year baccalaureate degree, or equivalent experience.
  • Self-motivated, able to work independently and perform multiple tasks under minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a multi-team environment with associates from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) to interact with all levels of the organization.
  • Strong presentation skills.
