Quality Analytics & Data Specialist

Database Quality Assurance, DQA is an important group in LSEG responsible for Quality Assurance with team in Bangalore, India. Working for this team will challenge you to use your technical, quantitative, and critical thinking skills to identify errors and problems in a variety of financial information databases and products.

Job Requirements:

• Good knowledge of Contributed Content to initiate meaningful conversation with stakeholders.
• Deep understanding of different dataset like Holdings, Pricing and Performance (P&P), Deals.
• Good understanding of different database like, M&A, PEO, PE, Global Infra etc...
• 5+ years of experience in operations teams in which 2+ years industry experience in areas such as automation using SQL. Ability to write, read edit modify Python codes will be an add advantage.
• Manage senior level stakeholder engagements internally and externally to discover problems and use cases as well as to translate business impact of on-going and completed projects.
• Ability to handle complexity and think logically with incredible attention to detail.
• Executes key aspects of the data control framework, ensuring data quality is achieved
• Provides periodic and more complex ad-hoc reports, with both quantitative / qualitative analysis, analyzing large data-sets, for internal or external reports
• Manages requests from clients as required
• Leads the training and development for junior staff, enhancing the knowledge of the team
• This position will utilize advanced analytical and problem-solving techniques to lead project teams to develop and implement quality process and improvement. This position will also be responsible for working with division stakeholders within the organization to coordinate activities as they relate to processes and operating models.
• Ability to create metrics which can measure the client experience of using our content by designing Accuracy, Completeness, Timeliness and other forms of metrics.
• Good understanding of Quality Management System (QMS)
• Ability to track down complex data quality and data integration issues, evaluate different algorithmic approaches, and analyze data to solve problems. Curiosity about the details of datasets is essential.
• Take complete ownership of projects and drive it to conclusion circumventing any obstacles being encountered.
• High level of confidence in communicating with senior business and technical leaders internally and externally

Key Responsibilities

• Provide support for design, execution, and maintenance of quality system processes at respective departments.
• Translating end user needs to requirements.
• Drive projects from start to end and support maintenance.
• Working with highly technical team members to articulate and get the project completed.
• Manage all level stakeholder engagements to discover problems and use cases as well as to translate business impact of on-going and completed projects.
• Becoming an expert at certain content specific domains of knowledge and tools/techniques like SQL, Python & Power BI.
• Able to quickly spot more subtle errors in data and analyses.
• Ensures that results are reproducible, correct and actionable.

Knowledge & Skill

• Deep understanding of different dataset like Holdings, Pricing and Performance (P&P), Deals etc..
• Solid relational database skills and SQL expertise.
• Strong written, communication and presentation skills. Able to respond and present work to peers, stakeholders, clients and answer in-depth questions, accept constructive feedback, and modify work product accordingly.
• Narrate stories (to technical and mostly non-technical audience) about our content and processes by data analysis and visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.

Desirable skills
