JOB TITLE: OPERATIONS MANAGER (QUICK SERVICE RESTAURANT) LOCATION: MUMBAI, INDIA JOB SUMMARY: We are seeking an experienced and results-driven operations manager to oversee the efficient and profitable operation of our Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) in Mumbai. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of relevant experience in the QSR industry, with expertise in setting up new QSR outlets, hiring and training employees, and ensuring compliance with the Legal Metrology Act. The Operations Manager will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, driving business growth, maintaining quality standards, and delivering exceptional customer service. RESPONSIBILITIES: Set up and Launch: Lead the setup and launch of new QSR outlets in accordance with company guidelines, ensuring compliance with all legal and regulatory requirements, including the Legal Metrology Act. Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of QSR operations, including inventory management, quality control, food safety, cleanliness, and maintenance of equipment to ensure efficient and smooth functioning. Financial Performance: Monitor and analyze financial data, including sales reports, expenses, and profitability metrics, to identify opportunities for improvement and implement strategies to achieve revenue and profitability targets. Staff Hiring and Training: Recruit, hire, and train qualified staff members, including kitchen and front-of-house staff, to ensure a competent and customer-focused team. Provide ongoing coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations to enhance employee productivity and job satisfaction. Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement streamlined procedures to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction. Customer Service: Foster a culture of exceptional customer service, ensuring that all staff members provide prompt and courteous service to guests. Address customer complaints or concerns in a professional and timely manner. Compliance and Safety: Ensure adherence to all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies related to food safety, hygiene, and health standards. Conduct regular inspections to maintain a safe and compliant working environment. Vendor Management: Establish and maintain relationships with suppliers and vendors, negotiate contracts, and monitor delivery schedules to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of inventory and supplies. Marketing and Promotions: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing strategies and promotional activities to attract and retain customers. Reporting: Prepare and present regular reports on operational performance, financial results, and key metrics to senior management. REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 10 years of experience in the QSR industry, with a proven track record of successfully managing QSR operations. Extensive knowledge and experience in setting up new QSR outlets, from concept development to launch, including compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Strong understanding of the Legal Metrology Act in India and its implications for QSR operations. Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team. Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with a focus on delivering outstanding customer experiences. Sound financial acumen and experience in budgeting, cost control, and profit optimization. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written. Ability to work under pressure, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and meet deadlines. Proficient in using computer software and technology for operations management, reporting, and analysis.
