Job Description

The QMS Engineer is responsible for developing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in alignment with industry standards (e.g., ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, etc.). The QMS Engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that processes and products meet internal and customer-specific quality requirements, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement objectives.

Key Responsibilities:



Maintain and improve the QMS

in accordance with ISO 9001 and relevant industry-specific standards (e.g., ISO 13485 for medical, IATF 16949 for automotive). Ensure that all

quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions

, and records are up-to-date and compliant. Conduct

internal audits

and support external audits (e.g., customer audits, certification audits). Lead or support

root cause analysis (RCA)

and

corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)

for quality issues and nonconformities. Monitor and analyze

quality KPIs

, including NCRs, customer complaints, internal rejection rates, and audit findings. Collaborate with cross-functional teams (production, engineering, logistics, etc.) to ensure quality compliance throughout the process. Facilitate

Management Reviews

, audit scheduling, and QMS-related documentation control. Manage

document control systems

and ensure timely revision and distribution of controlled documents. Support

training programs

related to QMS awareness, audit readiness, and continuous improvement. Evaluate and qualify

suppliers and subcontractors

based on QMS requirements. Drive

continuous improvement initiatives

such as 5S, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or Lean practices.

Required Skills & Competencies:



Solid understanding of

ISO 9001

, and preferably

IATF 16949

,

ISO 14001

, or

ISO 13485

. Experience with

internal audits

,

document control

, and

nonconformance management

. Proficient in

MS Office, QMS software

, and documentation tools. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities. Knowledge of

FMEA, PPAP, APQP, SPC, MSA

is a strong plus.

Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in

Electronics, Quality, Industrial,

or related discipline. 2-5 years of experience in

QMS implementation/management

, ideally in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment. Certified

Internal Auditor

(ISO 9001 or relevant standard) is preferred. Experience with

customer audits

and compliance in regulated industries (medical, automotive, aerospace) is advantageous.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹200,000.00 - ₹300,000.00 per year
