We are supporting our clients with test leadership services - assessing what they have in place now, understanding what their business drivers and requirements are, and tailoring a roadmap of improvements for their testing teams, including delivery of that roadmap. You will be leading teams of testers across functional and non-functional testing of both Version 1 and client staff on client delivery and helping shape our Test Practice, working alongside staff from across the globe to help drive and grow that practice.

Your primary focus will be to shape the Testing Practice within Version 1 India where you will be -

• Responsible for line management for all test roles in India - manual tester, automation tester, test leads and test architects (to be filled in future based on project needs)
• Manage capacity growth plan in line with the demands (collaborating with UKDDC QA practice lead)
• Own and drive the development of common knowledge assets, processes, templates in QA practice, e.g., test strategies in different types of projects, test tools, test plan templates, testing report templates, test estimation templates etc.
• Owning Competence growth plan of India resources based on project needs, market needs and train people on best practices/tools (point #d)
• Contribute to pre-sales from QA practice.
• Own assurance of all QA activities from India.
• Be escalation point internally from Version 1 and from customers / delivery partners.

As an organisation we do not follow ISTQB practices, as we feel that they hinder great testing - our passion is Context Driven Testing, using oracles and heuristics to help us get the best testing in place for the client\'s context - all our testers and test leadership follow this principle, and you will need to as well.

Qualifications

• 18+ years of overall experience with 8+ years of Test Leadership across waterfall, hybrid and agile delivery
• Must have previous experience of growing QA practice.
• Has managed competence growth for the team in the QA practice.
• Extensive experience of implementing test improvements.
• Expert at understanding and mitigation of risk.
• Great communication.
• Extensive experience in Automation and Performance testing.
• Expert at setting standards for the team across technical and non-technical testing.
• Demonstrable experience in customer engagement - both onsite and remote as Test Lead / Test Architect.
• Experienced in writing test strategies in functional testing and non-functional testing.
• Experienced in writing test plans.
• Hands-on experience with Confluence, Jira.
• Has actively contributed in pre-sales pre-sales, RFP responses, estimations, bid submissions.
• Business domain experience in Banking / Capital Markets or Insurance is preferable but not mandatory.
