As a QA Automation Engineer, you will play a crucial role in strengthening our testing ecosystem by implementing automation best practices, identifying quality gaps, ensuring test coverage, and supporting continuous integration and delivery processes. Your primary focus will be on building scalable automation solutions using Selenium and related technologies. You will collaborate with developers, product managers, and manual QA engineers to ensure high-quality releases and an exceptional user experience.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automation frameworks for web applications using Selenium WebDriver and associated tools.
• Convert manual test cases into automated scripts to improve efficiency and expand coverage across regression, sanity, and smoke test suites.
• Execute automated test scripts, analyze results, and report defects with clear documentation and reproducibility.
• Collaborate with product and development teams to understand requirements, refine acceptance criteria, and ensure testability.
• Implement best practices for test automation architecture, coding standards, object-oriented design, and maintainability.
• Integrate automation suites into CI/CD pipelines (such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, or similar).
• Troubleshoot automation failures, perform root cause analysis, and work with developers to drive quick resolutions.
• Conduct API automation testing (if applicable) using tools like Postman, RestAssured, or similar.
• Participate in design and code reviews to ensure quality is built into every phase of the development lifecycle.
• Maintain and update test data, test environments, and automation scripts as product functionality evolves.
• Track, monitor, and communicate test progress, automation coverage, and quality metrics to stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate emerging automation tools, frameworks, and approaches to improve existing processes and test effectiveness.

Required Qualifications & Skills

• 4-6 years of experience in software testing with a strong focus on automation.
• Solid hands-on experience with Selenium WebDriver, Selenium Grid, and related automation frameworks.
• Proficiency in at least one programming language used for automation--Java, Python, or JavaScript preferred.
• Good understanding of software development methodologies, including Agile and DevOps practices.
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines and version control systems such as Git.
• Strong understanding of testing concepts: test planning, test case design, defect management, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in API testing and automation is an advantage.
• Familiarity with BDD frameworks such as Cucumber or SpecFlow is preferred.
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
