Job Title: QA Automation Engineer, AS
Location: Pune, India
Role Description
This role is for QA Automation Tester responsible for design, development of automation framework, develop automated test cases & execute the same. The candidate is expected to ensure good quality, maintainable, scalable and high performing software applications are delivered to users in an Agile development environment.
Candidate should be coming from a strong technological background. Should be hands on and be able to work independently requiring minimal technical/tool guidance. Should be able to technically guide and mentor junior resources in the team.
As an automation tester you will bring rich expertise to enforce the group of testers within a team. The candidate will extensively make use and apply Continuous Integration tools and practices.

Your key responsibilities
Design and develop Automated Validation of Product through manual and automated test cases using current automation framework or develop your own solution for testing user journeys, including end-2-end test with several components involved
Scripting and developing reusable automation code
Create test data, writing and ownership test cases
Perform peer code review
Identify, track and own risks / issues relating to test deliveries and program safety
Actively participate into the SLDC cycle and co-own product with SRE team
Apply continuous integration best practices in general (SCM, build automation, unit testing, dependency management)
Collaborate with other team members to achieve the Sprint objectives
Report progress/update Agile team management tools (JIRA/Confluence)
Manage individual task priorities and deliverables.
Responsible for Software quality assurance throughout the delivery cycle including defect management
Contribute to planning and continuous improvement activities, Support the PO, Analyst, Developers & SRE team to ensure observability and reliability
Work with BA/FA and Dev teams on building test cases
Your skills and experience
Total experience of 4-8 Years, in functional/automation testing. Should have experience in Cypress OR Selenium & Rest Assured tool or similar
Strong knowledge of automation framework like Karate, Postman, SOAP UI, BDD Cucumber.
Very strong communication skills.
Familiarity with all Agile practices, regulated environments and software development practices.
Strong experience required in REST API, JSON, XML
Experience in in other Agile approaches such as Kanban and XP would be desirable Background as an engineer/developer, tester or business analyst desirable
Strong experience in requirements analysis for test case creation and test execution of user stories using tools like Apache JMeter, LoadRunner, SOAP UI, Filetransfer, SQL developer, Quality Centre/ALM, Confluence and Jira
