Department

You will be part of the global procurement team who are dedicated to meet one of the key deliverables of FLSmidth\xe2\x80\x99 S DIFOT (Delivery in Full on Time) to our customers. By joining this team, you will have the chance to work in an international environment involving different cultures and different challenges.

Your responsibilities

  • Drives execution of purchasing activities to comply with area of responsibility specific requirements for cost, time, quality, and risk minimization.
  • Engages with business units\xe2\x80\x99 management, on strategic as well as tactical purchasing related matters, to ensure right and timely involvement.
  • Manages and develops the business unit purchasing team and ensures collaboration and alignment with corresponding country purchasing teams and Logistics and Quality Control/Expediting teams.
  • Drives efficiency through resource optimization, offshoring, and implementation of best practice within specific business unit purchasing team.
  • Leads implementation of and compliance to procurement policies, processes and reporting of KPI\xe2\x80\x99s in alignment with Group directives and leads specifically for purchasing.
  • Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company\xe2\x80\x99s operational activities.
What you bring
  • 8 - 10 years of relevant experience as a Purchaser / buyer
  • Knowledge of Purchasing practices and procedures
  • Should have Good Oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships.
  • Good planning and organizing skills.
  • Knowledge of Mining plant Equipment & Spare Parts.
  • Knowledge in MS-Excel/ Word, Outlook proficiency is essential.
  • Knowledge in ERP/Oracle system will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in Share point / Power BI will be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge in electrical items will be an added advantage.
