Position Summary Purpose: Need to provide SCM support to the corporate SCM and other regional SCM group. And to ensure all appropriate supplies and equipment are inventoried, received and distributed in accordance with proper and prudent practices. Works under limited supervision. Should be able to work without supervision for complex work. Provide mentoring to entry level associate. Duties & Responsibilities Functions ESSENTIAL Ensure internal processes and procedures exist and are followed, for own tasks and responsibility. Analysis of Daily reports & develops better understanding and brings forward purposed action. Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing. Process requisitions and update management on status of orders. Evaluate the potential use of global excess and obsolete inventory Improve demand fulfillment rate and work efficiently on replenishment report for BU. Sending enquiries, getting quotes, order finalization (supply /service), finalization of commercial terms & conditions. Preparation of comparative statements and negotiating. Create/Review Purchase order and maintain relevant purchase records & documents. Expediting all materials into the Business Unit. Set up Purchasing attributes for replenishment items. NON-ESSENTIAL: Contribute to improving existing processes. Involve in productively improvement. Prepare & update SCM process documents. Share regular updates about work. Provide guidance on areas of expertise to other team members. Attend all team meetings and complete action item on time. Safety Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment. Other Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems. Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems on the Company. Eliminate waste of whatever form, to suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment. Supervisory Responsibilities This position has NO supervisory responsibilities. Qualifications Qualifications REQUIRED Minimum Qualification: Bachelor of Commerce/Arts / PGDCA/ BCA / or B-tech or Any degree in SCM with 5 years of buying experience in any Manufacturing Unit or OIL & gas sector. Minimum 3 years of practical experience as SCM related task and should be able to mentor entry level SCM people or 3 years of technical buying experience in Manufacturing Unit or OIL & gas sector. DESIRED Expert level knowledge of the Microsoft Office package, especially of Excel, word . Knowledge on MS Excel including formulas, special functions viz. Pivot table, pivot chart, vlookup, hlookup etc. Knowledge of ERP System or Purchasing Modules. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics Self-driven, positive attitude. Strong communication skills. Good presentation skills. Ability to work in a cross functional team. Strong organizing & planning skills. Disciplined documentation and record keeping skills. Flexibility and adaptability under adverse conditions. Ability to show initiative, good judgment, and resourcefulness. Closing Statement Working Conditions This position is considered OFFICE WORK which is characterized as follows. Almost exclusively indoors during the day and occasionally at night. Occasional exposure to airborne dust in the workplace. Work surface is stable (flat).
