Job Profile: Purchase Officer - Solray Solutions

Location: Goa

Experience: 3-5 Years

Qualification: B.E. / Diploma in Engineering

Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Purchase Officer to handle procurement activities for engineering materials, components, and services. The ideal candidate should have prior experience in sourcing and vendor management within the engineering or renewable energy (Solar EPC) sector.

Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and select reliable vendors and suppliers for engineering materials and components. Obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and finalize purchase orders in line with company policies. Ensure timely procurement of materials while maintaining quality, cost efficiency, and delivery timelines. Coordinate with engineering, stores, and project teams to understand material requirements and specifications. Maintain and update the vendor database with performance records and payment history. Negotiate with suppliers for best terms--price, quality, and delivery schedules. Track purchase orders, monitor inventory levels, and ensure uninterrupted material flow to project sites. Handle documentation related to procurement, GRN, invoices, and vendor payments. Work closely with logistics and accounts teams for dispatch, receipt, and payment coordination. Support management in developing procurement strategies, cost-saving initiatives, and vendor development programs.
Desired Candidate Profile:

Qualification: B.E. / Diploma in Mechanical / Electrical / Electronics or related engineering field. Experience: 3-5 years in procurement of engineering or industrial materials. Experience in Solar EPC / Renewable Energy sector will be an added advantage. Proficient in MS Office and ERP systems. Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills. Excellent coordination and documentation abilities. Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
