Job Description


15-18 Years This role requires strategic thinking, vendor relationship management, and a strong understanding of supply chain dynamics to optimize purchasing operations. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Sourcing: Develop and implement sourcing strategies to ensure a reliable supply of goods and services while optimizing costs and quality. Identify potential suppliers, assess their capabilities, and establish effective supplier partnerships. Supplier Negotiations and Contracts: Negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers, including pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and warranties. Draft and manage contracts to safeguard the interests of the organization and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements. Vendor Management: Manage relationships with key suppliers, monitor performance, and resolve any issues or disputes that may arise. Continuously evaluate supplier performance to ensure they meet quality, delivery, and cost expectations. Purchase Planning and Execution: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and requirements. Plan purchases, create purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services to meet operational needs. Cost Optimization: Analyze pricing trends, market dynamics, and industry benchmarks to identify cost-saving opportunities. Implement cost reduction strategies while maintaining quality standards and supplier relationships. Inventory Management: Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to optimize stock levels and minimize excess or obsolete inventory. Ensure adequate inventory to support production schedules and customer demands. Compliance and Ethics: Ensure procurement activities adhere to company policies, ethical standards, and regulatory guidelines. Conduct due diligence on suppliers to mitigate risks related to quality, ethics, and sustainability. Team Leadership (if applicable): Lead and mentor the procurement team, providing guidance, training, and performance feedback. Foster a collaborative and results-oriented team culture. Reporting and Analysis: Generate reports on procurement activities, supplier performance, cost savings, and other key metrics. Provide insights and recommendations for process improvements based on data analysis.
