Job Description

Designation: Purchase Engineer Qualifications: Electrical / Mechanical Engineer (B.E / B Tech). Experience: Minimum 3-4 years relevant experience Location: Hinjewadi Job Requirements & Responsibilities: 1. Purchasing :

• Review, Approve, Co-ordinate Purchase requirements of Raw materials, Consumables, Capital goods, etc. as required for the operations of the company.
• Maintain, Add and Modify Item Masters in SAP B1 according to the company norms and maintain the data and purchase history.
• Approve purchase orders with full knowledge of the requirements and budgets in discussion with the senior management team.
• Ensure stock according to the minimum stock requirements and within required time frame.
• Evaluating Vendor Performance and completing Vendor Ratings according to required norms of the company.

2. Vendor Development / Sourcing :

• Researching and Studying of Vendors according to the requirements and carrying ownership of vendor selection.
• Drafting RFQ\xe2\x80\x99s, Obtaining Quotes, Studying Capabilities and Negotiating Contracts etc.
• Taking part in Supplier Audits along with the Quality team.
• Development of new components within tight time lines.

3. In Depth knowledge of following subjects :

• Purchase Process Best Practices.
• IATF 16949 related to the Purchasing processes.
• Enterprise resource planning software (SAP B1 preferable)
• Various Electrical, Mechanical, Electromechanical, Automation related components.
• MIS reports using Microsoft Excel, Power Point etc.

4. Should be capable of :

• Managing company drivers for scheduling local purchases.
• Studying any subject on internet / google and taking up the sourcing activity.
• Very good oral and written communication in English
• Selecting and nurturing a team of professionals.
