Job description

• Looking after daily logistics service requirement and arranging services as per requirement

• Checking requisition and taking clarification from requisitioned for further arrangement.

• Checking freight rate availability / getting quote from transport service provider for freight rate negotiation and reverse auction arrangement

• Setting up reverse auction system for on line freight bidding arrangement by service provider

• Issuing vehicle placement order to service provider as per requirement

• Coordination and follow-up with logistics service provider for logistics service requirement.

• Monitoring vehicles in transit to ensure material delivery as per transit schedule.

• Coordination with buyer, supplier, exim team and project team to arrange for on time service as per requirement.

• Maintaining vehicle placement tracker and Transportation MIS preparation.

• Freight invoice Inward and invoice processing tracker

• Verifying Invoices for transport and express cargo services.

• Maintaining tracker and arranging Note of Approval

• Coordination with service provider for getting invoice as per format for processing payments

• Generating SAP related entries like PR, WO and Service entries.

• Coordination commercial / HRIR and accounts payable for getting payments released

• Vendor Master: New vendor registration / Extension / E mapping arrangement.

• Maintaining Insurance tracker for lost in transit / damage claims
