Job Description

In a hospital, a PRO (Public Relations Officer or Patient Relations Officer) manages communication between the institution, the public, patients, and media, acting as a bridge to build trust, manage reputation, and resolve concerns, handling everything from media inquiries and event planning to patient feedback and crisis communication to ensure a positive, transparent, and patient-friendly environment. Key Roles & Responsibilities

Public & Media Relations:

Writing press releases, managing social media, coordinating with journalists, and representing the hospital to the outside world.

Patient Experience:

Serving as a liaison for patient inquiries, feedback, and complaints, ensuring smooth experiences from admission to discharge.

Community Engagement:

Organizing health camps, awareness campaigns, and outreach programs to build community ties.

Crisis Management:

Providing accurate information and maintaining calm during emergencies or public health issues.

Reputation Management:

Shaping and protecting the hospital's image, highlighting achievements, and building trust.
Essential SkillsExcellent Communication & Interpersonal Skills, Empathy & Cultural Sensitivity, Problem-Solving & Diplomacy, and Understanding of Healthcare Regulations.
