PRoSE is a Portfolio Construction and Rebalancing system used by SSGA Portfolio managers to manage the Liability Driven Investment (LDI) and solutions portfolios for rebalancing, managing exposures and client overlay strategies for commingled, separately managed and externally managed funds. This solution provides predefined trade rebalancing algorithms and future considerations helping the PMs on investment decisions. It interacts with trading, holdings, compliance, risk, custom benchmarks, funding ratio monitors, portfolio optimizer and various applications.

Who we are looking for

SSGA is looking for a VP with strong technical background and great leadership skills to lead and manage the PRoSE system owning the IT deliverables to meet the portfolio managers need for an uninterrupted service and delivering the features demanded by the market. It involves owning the application development, maintenance, transformation and any organizational infrastructure migration like Cloud migrations.

What the candidate will be responsible for

• Build a new team with required project skills as per SSGA IT resource transformation strategy to support PRoSE system
• Lead the resource management in transferring the work from current workforce to new workforce and managing the team
• Own delivering the Portfolio Managers business need in PRoSE
• Represent IT side of PRoSE in all IT and business forums
• Manage the business stakeholders and reflect the business priorities in the deliverables
• Define future roadmap for PRoSE aligning to the SSGA cloud migration plan
• Comply the application mandates from IT side (Security, Audit, Regulatory requirements)
• Be a strong leader and mentor to the team
• Collaborate with the Senior Management and other IT leads

• 14+ years of experience in IT industry
• Proven Experience in leading an IT development team with the 10+ team size
• Proven programming experience as full stack developer (UI & Backend), preferably working on low latency, high throughput, globally distributed systems
• Sound experience in Java technologies
• Experience working within a financial institution, preferably within Front Office IT, with exposure to the business
• Good experience in .net thick client WPF application development
• Good experience in database especially in Oracle
• Experience in Technology migration projects
• Strong analytic, problem solving, and collaborative skills
• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s Degree or more
