The Role: Proposal Writer and Operations Specialist , Environmental Solutions

The Team: S&P Global Commodity Insights enables organizations to create long-term, sustainable value with data and insights for a complete view on the global energy and commodities markets.\xe2\x80\xafThe S&P Environmental Solutions group provides innovative infrastructure solutions and services to grow environmental markets. This includes facilitating the implementation of new environmental markets, helping existing markets evolve and mature, enabling connectivity between markets and fostering data transparency and efficiency .

The Impact: T his role will help the Environmental Solutions team win business by writing excellent proposals and partnering internally to deliver solid and consistent messages related to Environmental Registry delivery. It will also help streamline critical processes, run short projects , and achieve operational excellence across a number of different areas . The candidate will work in the Environmental Solutions team at Commodity Insights reporting to the Director of Project Management .

What\xe2\x80\x99s in it for you: This role will require working closely with the supporting Product, Operations, and Technology teams , as well as vendor representatives and clients, depending on need .\xe2\x80\xafThe candidate will spend a portion of the time coordinating responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Information (RFIs) and similar engagements with prospective clients , while also taking on projects related to process optimization. The candidate will possess strong communication skills in order to collaborate across internal and vendor/consulting teams.

Responsibilities: As an Environmental Solutions Project Manage ment Analyst , you will:

Play a central role in coordinating work streams focusing on monitoring and responding to RFPs, RFIs and similar engagements with prospective clients . A ctivities will include:

Read ing incoming requests for proposals

Participat ing in kick-off meetings, strategy sessions and proposal project planning

Review ing and customiz ing RFP responses from the\xe2\x80\xafproposal content library

Organiz ing and maintain ing a repository of existing content to streamline formulating new responses and enable reusability of content.

Collaborat ing with subject matter experts (SMEs) and proposal contributors , and r eview ing and edit ing responses created by stakeholders from various internal teams

Authoring additional RFP response documents and attachments , including cover letters, project plans , team org charts, etc.

In addition, the candidate will o wn other operational processes (such as internal team onboarding and training, Regression and U ser A cceptance T esting , client migration s from a legacy to a new strategic platform, etc. ) and manage all aspects of their development from discovery to implementation, to ongoing maintenance.

Help the project team stay on track by following up on tasks, hand-holding escalations that will clear project bottleneck s , and managing critical project documentation .

Create , organize and maintain project and product collateral .

Send effective communications about status and progress to the wider stakeholder group

Help management and project team leadership create presentation materials to communicate progress of various initiatives.

What We\xe2\x80\x99re Looking For:
3+ years\xe2\x80\x99 professional work experience in a proposal writing role, or project, product , process improvement role

Exposure to carbon markets, environmental auctions, commodity markets; familiarity with ESG data and ESG reporting frameworks

The candidate should have keen attention to detail , be highly organized , and grammatically proficient with written and verbal English.

Excellent presentation skills, as well as s trong communication and interpersonal skills to lead meetings with multiple, at times large numbers of participants.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office particularly Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Experience responding to RFP/RFQs, or working with external partners, vendors, or government clients.

The candidate should naturally think from the perspective of the client at all times, and be interested in designing processes and solutions that fit the right audience.

The candidate should have a n interest in owning process improvement from problem statement all the way through to implementing a solution .

Be a good listener with ability to shift directions quickly based on management decisions.
