Job Title: Proposal Manager Siemens Digital Industries is an innovation and technology leader in industrial automation and digitalization. Digitalization is already changing all areas of life and existing business models. : Bid Manager will be part of the Process Automation business for Water & Waste Water vertical based in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Responsible for supporting the sales and customers throughout the proposal process by preparing technical descriptions of the applied products and technology, determining the costs, preparing final documentation and serving as a key technical resource in Water vertical. Responsibilities:
Recognize and understand the customer?s needs, understanding minimal compliance requirements from tender specifications and make suggestions for possible solutions, and quickly work on budgetary estimates.
Use experience and understanding to add value to the bid decision making
Accuracy in costing & solution with value proposition is mandatory.
Experience in handling Government/ PSU Tenders with accuracy in tender documentation
Work with Sales team and at times directly with customers to understand their requirement and develop the best solutions.
Follow-up on commercial and technical clarifications with customer.
Prepare offer documents such as bill of material, technical compliance, solution descriptions, assumptions/exclusion, etc.
Develops the final pricing and technical proposals for a bid/enquiry.
Preparing project proposals cost and prepare for risk review meeting with management
Independently working on methods & procedures to complete new assignments
Taking up new initiatives or projects to improve productivity & efficiency in work.
Collaborating with Internal functions, such as procurement team, legal, finance, taxes, EHS, Export Control etc.
Experience:
Bachelor of Engineering /Bachelor of Technology (Electrical & Electronics / Electronics & Communication /Instrumentation & Control)
Minimum 5-10 years? experience in bidding / Tendering for Automation (DCS /PLC/Instrumentation) solutions
Knowledge about market requirements and standards in Water industry is required
Experience in handling Government Tenders / Turnkey bids would be an added advantage
Experience from engineering and project execution is an advantage
Knowledge of Siemens automation products will have advantage
Strong communication skills & interpersonal skills
