General Information -

The Hitachi Energy Indian Operations Center (INOPC) is a competence center with around 1500 skilled engineers who focus on tendering, engineering, planning, procurement, functional system testing, installation supervision and commissioning. However, over the last decade, it has evolved to become the largest engineering hub. The India Operations Centre is a key aspect of the Power Grids business Power Up transformation program. The INOPC team at Chennai supports Hitachi Energy\'s units in more than 40 countries across a wide portfolio of all the four business units in Power Grid business. To date, the team has executed engineering and commissioning for projects in more than 80 countries.

Mission Statement -

Lead, plan, direct and control the construction of a project to ensure completion in accordance with design requirements and time and costs constraints to achieve profit objectives. Manage all aspects of project delivery from site and team-setup to handover. Reports to senior management on all issues relating to the project on a regular basis. Maintain strategic role in client liaison. Develop and review construction planning and monitor progress of allocated projects to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimates. Authorize and direct construction planning, programming and on-site completion schedules. A Senior Professional (P3) applies advanced knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education and work experience. Responsibilities may include: Managing projects / processes, working independently with limited supervision. Coaching and reviewing the work of lower level professionals. Problems faced are difficult and sometimes complex.

Responsibilities -

\xc2\xb7Review of Contract receipt from Sales

\xc2\xb7Develop project schedule and freeze with respective stakeholders (internal and external)

\xc2\xb7Preparation of project specific risk and opportunities management plan

\xc2\xb7Preparation of project wise Master document list

\xc2\xb7Coordination for Engineering drawing approvals\xc2\xb7Coordination with Engg and SCM to place order on sub supplier for material procurement

\xc2\xb7Coordinate with feeder factories for production plan and follow up on production progress

\xc2\xb7Collection test report from suppliers

\xc2\xb7Coordination on Stage inspections (if any)

\xc2\xb7Coordination with LPG for material readiness and completion of FAT

\xc2\xb7Issuing Purchase Requisition for packaging company

\xc2\xb7Follow-up on Material shipment, material receipt at site and acknowledgment from sites for submission of Milestone billings (if any)

\xc2\xb7Coordinate with stakeholders for erection, testing and commissioning at site

\xc2\xb7Closely coordinate and document change requests related to project scope and get approvals for time extension, additional cost etc

\xc2\xb7Project handing over, as-built drawings, commercial closure etc and collection of PAC

Requirements -

\xc2\xb7Excellent skills in Speaking, Reading and writing

\xc2\xb7Graduate in Engineering or Science with Min 2-6 years in execution projects or order handling in any of power system OEMs and ability to work in ERP environment.

\xc2\xb7Should possess strong leadership skills and ability to convince stakeholders in the interest of the project.

\xc2\xb7Ability to work under pressure to deliver the projects with time, cost and quality.
