About you and this role

Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Project Procurement Coordinator (PPC) in Chennai. The Project Procurement Coordinator (PPC) is highly proficient in Procurement work processes, transactional systems, knowledgeable in procurement strategies and supplier issues, and ensures that all of these aspects interface smoothly to achieve quality output and satisfied clients. This role supports the Global Capital Purchasing team and is part of the Maintenance, Repair and Operations & Capital Sourcing Team (MROCE).This role creates value for Dow with a focus on enhancing the world class Capital Procurement strategy.

Responsibilities

• Workload Efficiency and Quality Management for Material Specification Transmittals (MSTs) and/or Transactions
• Functional Mailboxes and MST Package Processing
• Ensure material requisition (MST package) and competitive bid process is followed for each requisition as called for in the project supply plan.
• Purchase Order Write-ups & Finalizations
• Provide training for capital work process, purchase order/addendum input processing.

Knowledge/Skills

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good interpersonal skills are required.
• Must have strong multi-tasking, problem solving and time management skills.
• Demonstrate leadership skills - inspire others and lead them through influence.
• A self-starter who can identify, prioritize and accomplish multiple tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Prior Capital Project purchasing experience (required)
• Experience with MS Office tools (Excel, Word, etc.)
• Experience with SAP
• Data management analysis
• High level of skill utilizing the purchasing systems
• Initiative and proactive self-management
