: Project Officer - Project PRERANA

Role Overview
The Project Officer will be responsible for end-to-end management and on-ground
implementation of Project PRERANA in Papumpare district, Arunachal Pradesh. This is an
integrated role, combining project coordination, stakeholder engagement, field execution,
monitoring, documentation and reporting. The incumbent will serve as the primary point of
contact for schools, communities, district authorities and donors.
About the Project
Project PRERANA is a comprehensive adolescent health and menstrual hygiene initiative
designed to improve awareness, access and dignity for adolescent girls in Papum Pare
district of Arunachal Pradesh. The program addresses critical gaps in menstrual hygiene
management and anaemia prevention by combining school-based infrastructure support
with structured awareness and behavior change interventions. It aims to reach school and
college-going girls aged 11-19 years across educational institutions through the age-
appropriate sensitization sessions on menstruation, nutrition and reproductive health. By
actively engaging teachers, parents and government stakeholders and strengthening
convergence with existing public health schemes, Project PRERANA seeks to create a
supportive and sustainable ecosystem that enables adolescent girls to manage menstruation
safely, confidently and with dignity.
Key Responsibilities
1. Plan, coordinate and implement all project activities at district and field levels.
2. Liaise with district officials, school authorities, teachers and community stakeholders.
3. Oversee installation, demonstration and periodic monitoring of sanitary pad vending
machines and incinerators.
4. Conduct and facilitate school-based awareness sessions on menstrual hygiene and
adolescent health.
5. Strengthen convergence with government schemes and departments (Health,
Education, WCD).
6. Maintain accurate project data, field records and MIS.
7. Prepare project progress updates and contribute to donor reports and documentation.
8. Capture case studies, photographs and success stories.
9. Ensure adherence to project timelines, quality standards and donor compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
1. Master's degree in Social Work, Public Health, Rural Development or related field.
2. 3-5 years of experience in development projects involving field implementation and
coordination.
3. Prior experience in MHM, WASH, adolescent health or school-based/community
programs preferred.
4. Experience working with government systems is desirable.
Skills & Competencies
1. Strong field coordination and project management skills.
2. Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder engagement abilities.
3. Good documentation and report-writing skills.
4. Willingness to travel extensively within the district.

Pay: ?30,000.00 - ?40,000.00 per month
