We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Project Manager.

In this role, you will:

  • Identify or raise the need to source goods or services and engage Procurement.
  • Ensure adherence to all pre-contract activities, ensuring that goods and services are not received before complying with these procedures or signing a contract with a third party.
  • Drive risk management activities as a Control Owner with the third party (which may be the Control Operator) on behalf of HSBC.
  • Manage third party relationships, by acting as the primary point of contact for a service(s) received from a third party on behalf of a specific part of HSBC (e.g. country, region, global business or global function (GB / GF). I may also interact directly with the third party on behalf of other parts of HSBC (e.g. other business areas or functions).
  • Report accurate management information (MI) on and from the third party by establishing a way to get appropriate MI as part of the various ongoing monitoring requirements for the service(s) received.
  • Initiate, track and manage remediation activities and ensure they are completed in a timely manner by the third party.
  • Complete supplier Performance Metrics where applicable to allow centralised measurement and reporting of supplier performance.
  • Understand the importance of Third Party Risk, and execute your role in ensuring all risk activities are completed accurately and on time, with any deficiencies escalated as appropriate. This includes:
a. Understanding and managing the risks associated with the engagement(s)

b. Identifying and tracking any control deficiencies and performance issues with timely follow up with the Third Party. Action plans are in place to remediate, including escalation to Risk Owner/TPRO where appropriate.

c. Ensure engagements that trigger the Accounting risk domain are managed effectively (i.e. SOX relevant engagements with Outsourced Service Providers (OSPs).

d. Ensuring all data submitted to Archer (in the fields TPEMs can edit) is correct to ensure this information is accurate and the risks are managed / reported on appropriately.

e. Understanding your TPEM role and responsibilities, keep knowledge up to date, seek help where required through the support and escalation channels available to you.

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
  • Should have prior experience of managing a 3rd party in the capacity of an engagement manager or as an IT PM managing 3rd party delivery or as a service owner managing the ownership of a 3rd party service
  • Should be able to lead service and performance reviews of 3rd party
  • Should have good understanding of the 3rd party technical review process i.e. cybersecurity review
  • Should be able to lead projects with 3rd party.
  • Should have working knowledge of atleast one cards processing platform.
Mandatory Skills:
  • prior experience of managing a 3rd party in the capacity of an engagement manager or as an IT PM managing 3rd party delivery or as a service owner managing the ownership of a 3rd party service
Relevant Experience:
  • Prior experience in Project and Program Management
  • Prior experience in cards industry
  • Hands-on exposure in managing 3rd party solutions / platforms
  • Awareness of infrastructure, integration, data, messaging and security used in 3rd party cards system
  • Customer and business outcome centered, with a data informed approach to decision making.
  • Proactive and with the stamina to operate in a fast-paced, large, transforming and matrix organisation.
  • Excellent communication skills in fluent English.
  • Experience in Agile & SAFE
