Position: ScrumMaster

We are seeking an exceptionally talented Scrum Master to provide effective collaboration, facilitation, leadership, and set a powerful example for the team. We need an individual that puts the team before themselves. They will be responsible for enforcing the rules of Scrum, removing impediments from their team while promoting self-management and constantly improving our work standards.

Your background

• 4-6 years of working experience as a Java developer in a agile team with a 1+ year experience as a scrum master. Certified scrum masters would be preferred. Domain experience around financial software and banking data will preferred.

• Ability to deal with cross-location teams

Technical skills

• Preferred - knowledge on continuous integration tools like Jenkins, Docker, test automation, shell scripting, excel

As a scrum master, you would

Responsibilities:

• Overall

• Own, advocate, and teach Agile (scrum) processes, ensuring that the team is always following the framework and looking for opportunities to continuously improve.
• Protect the team from outside interference, removing impediments, and ensuring that the work is delivered as a team.
• Organize and facilitate project planning, daily stand-up meetings, Sprint reviews, retrospectives, sprint and release planning and other Scrum-related meetings
• Track and communicate sprint/release progress via information radiators. Ensure all information radiators are current and broadly available.
• Be a team-player with the ability to work within a collaborative environment
• Support the Team

• Ensure the development team is practicing the core agile principles of collaboration, prioritization, team accountability, and visibility
• Cultivate an environment of trust, good faith, empowerment and creativity.
• Empower the team to self organize.
• Identify and remove impediments and prevent distractions.
• Introduce, drive and continuously improve team delivery via technical best practices and Engineering practices used in Extreme Programing (i.e. automated testing, refactoring, pair programming, test driven development, and continuous integration).
• Participate proactively in developing and maintaining team standards, tools, and best practices
• Facilitate good retrospectives fostering team growth.
• Facilitate discussion and conflict resolution.
• Facilitate good sprint planning, helping the team make appropriate commitments through story sizing and task definition.
• Support the Product Owner

• Facilitate Product Backlog maintenance, Release and Sprint Planning.
• Work with the Product Owner to maximize ROI and attainment of project objectives.
• Identify and advocate for prioritization of technical debt work.
