At Outsized, we match clients in financial services and management consulting to high-quality independent consultants and boutique/specialist firms for the execution of their key projects.

Our client, a global consulting firm, is looking for consultants to support them on a Large Capital Program Management project ongoing in Surat. They are looking for someone with prior experience in managing large plant construction projects.

Below summarises the responsibilities of the consultants:

- Reviewing and enhancing the project schedule for accuracy

- Facilitating, planning and scheduling workshops

- Assisting in the implementation of digital solutions for managing large-scale projects

- Coordinating cross-functionally among various stakeholders, such as the Project Team, Project Management Consultant (PMC), Design Team, and others

- Maintaining daily coordination with the PMC and subcontractors to ensure timely project execution

- Establishing a governance framework, including conducting reviews, monitoring key metrics, and preparing reports

An ideal candidate would have:

- 5 to 10 years of experience in managing large plant construction projects

- Experience of having worked with either an engineering/construction/steel firm or experience of being a project management consultant for construction projects focused on plant construction

- A post-graduation degree from a top-tier university

- A project management certification is mandatory

This is a contractual opportunity and will be on an initial 12-month contract, with a high possibility of extension. The selected consultant will be required to be on-site in Surat from Monday to Friday and will be provided flybacks to the base location over the weekend.
