Job Overview

TE Connectivity\'s Engineering Project Management Teams manage cross functional engineering projects. They work with Product Management, Sales, Quality, Manufacturing, Finance, and other functions across TE to assure projects meet financial, schedule and customer expectations. They are responsible for defining and creating project schedules, portfolio management, communication and execution of programs, identifying resource constraints and working with management for resolution, while adhering to LeanPD processes.

Roles & Responsibilities

ROLE OBJECTIVE

Individuals who have proven skills in Project Management inclusive of project scope definition and management, resource management, risk mitigation, and project execution. This position requires a person who is efficient in multi-tasking, can cultivate a creative work environment, and excellent communication skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead assigned Core Teams to achieve defined objectives.
  • Manage project scope, schedule, and budget for projects within the assigned business segment.
  • Establish and maintain project scope throughout the project lifecycle, including initial setting of scope, and scope change management.
  • Establish and maintain an accurate project schedule using Microsoft project based on commitment from Core team members, customer, and all project stakeholders.
Identify necessary project resources.
  • Develop & manage projects plans and critical path addressing gap closure plans.
  • Follow established Stage Gate processes and assure integrity of project deliverables.
  • Plan & lead Stage Gate reviews to business leadership.
  • Utilize enterprise level project systems to manage project plans, data, and actions.
  • Manage project capital budgets and assure execution in alignment with business unit financial plan.
  • Assure completion & integrity of Design History File deliverables within enterprise level Quality Management Systems.
  • Assure projects are completed in accordance with business objectives for On-Time Delivery and Quality.
  • Conduct status meetings with internal Core Team and external customers.
  • Create and maintain project communication documentation supporting project review meetings.
  • Proactively identify & resolve risks & issues. Manage escalation within the management team as required.
  • Conduct project closeout meetings and post launch reviews.
  • Conduct product quoting activities collecting and coordinating internal and external information and resources to appropriately support the activity
EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE
  • Associates degree and / or PMP certification desired.
  • four or more years of demonstrated Project Management experience in design & manufacture of hard goods within technology, medical device, or similar regulated industry working with internal and external customers.
