This is a Project Engineer_Lifecycle Services_System Evolution role, reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager in Business Area - India Operations Centre, Process Automation (INOPC PA) based in Bangalore, India. You will be primarily responsible to design and execute DCS engineering activities in service projects with low to medium complexity, according to standard work instructions, quality standards and safety guidelines. Deliver quality customer service to satisfy customers.

Your responsibilities

• Evaluating, selecting and applying standard techniques and procedures to perform engineering assignments in projects
• Assisting in preparing proposal/presentation of service engineering projects/programs
• Identifying customer (internal or external) requirements, analyzing and documenting as-is process and process interfaces, discovering process gaps, designing to-be integrated in collaboration with business resources
• Creating work plans and cost estimating in own area of responsibility and ensuring quality deliverables on time and within targeted cost
• Completing risk and opportunity assessments and ensuring implementation of resulting actions in one's area of responsibility
• Providing technical support for testing, installing and commissioning activities
• Collaborating with business & other IT teams to deliver solutions within timeline

Your background

• Bachelor's degree - instrumentation engineering, electronics & communications
• 4-8 years' experience in process automation especially in the field of oil & gas / refineries / petrochemicals
• Experience on DCS- retrofits, upgrades, service and commissioning
• Knowledge in the system installation, integration of servers and client computers in virtual environment, windows administration
• Experience in virtualization concepts, ESXi Setup, raid configuration and VMware configuration
• Working knowledge on managed switches, routers and firewalls
• Knowledge in designing system and network hardening and develop cyber security designs
• Experience in configuring MacAfee epo, WSUS
• Working knowledge on domain configuration and active directory configuration for larger systems includes defining group policies
• Process automation knowledge - application programming (oil & gas/ refineries /petrochemicals and power & water)
• Knowledge on third party communication like MODBUS, OPC
• Having ABB 800xA/ symphony plus knowledge, will be an added advantage. (system,800xA history, 800xA information management)configuration of network switches/routers/firewall, configuration of field devices like HART, profibus & foundation fieldbus, asset optimization will be added
