Project Engineer
Job Description
Job Objectives / Role :
1) Handle new RFQs from customer. Maintain records, access customer portals.
2) Study drawings, specifications received in RFQ from customer & Prepare Technical feasibility study.
3) Prepare detailed BOM, identify process steps and machines/equipment required to manufacture the wire harness. Identify if any validation requirements stated by customer.
4) Estimate detailed process cost and investment cost. Estimate validation costs.
5) Communicate with customer to get technical clarity & missing details like drawings, components, specifications etc.
6) Support technical sales.
7) Set up Product BOM, drawings, specifications and all related technical data in Team Center.
8) Initiate engineering change requests (ECR). Execute ECR in co-ordination with CFT, maintain records.
9) Track & maintain records of Project progress. Ensure to meet customer milestones.
10) Interact with global team to understand and adopt technologies.
11) Handover the determined process flow, equipment list to NPD team.
12) Support department initiatives by working with other engineers to solve problems in the department and fulfill initiative requests from Engineering Management.
13) Understand, support, and contribute to IATF16949 & ISO 14001 Systems by following approved policies and procedures.
14) Must possess ability to build peer relationships as well as work independently.
