Introduction
Many years ago, Lam Research embarked on a journey to set up a global center in Bangalore to expand its reach for Indian talent pool. Over the decade, this center expanded its capability and scope beyond engineering to global manufacturing, supply chain operations and other shared services. One of the major functional groups of this entity is LIGHT (Lam India Global Hardware Technology). In Hardware group, mechanical engineers, simulation analysts, electrical engineers, manufacturing engineers, and engineering support functions work collaboratively to design, develop sub-assemblies and sub-systems for Lam’s next-generation products. LIGHT has completed more than a decade of growth and has emerged as a major new product development and sustaining engineering team for Lam’s global engineering footprint. There is an opening for the role of Senior Project Engineer. This position is based out of Bangalore, directly reporting to the leader of Sabre 3D-Projects team in WETS (Wet Equipment Technology Solutions) Group of LIGHT. This individual shall collaborate with engineers in India and United States on new product development of Sabre 3D product line.

Primary Responsibilities
You will be owning projects/initiatives to develop, optimize and implement product/process improvement solutions which will aid in design and development of Lam Products. These projects/initiatives would be driven as part of continuous improvement in Product development lifecycle. Collaborate with both internal and external cross functional teams for project deliverables and goals, document and report project progress and results, communicate milestones and deliverables to stakeholders. Accountable for delivering on time with quality as part of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), as well as consistent improvement in efficiency.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor’s in Mechanical/Production/Industrial Engineering with minimum 6 years of relevant experience
• Experience in driving and managing projects/initiatives in collaboration with CFT (Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply chain, Electrical/controls engineering and Product safety) to meet project deliverables
• Experience in Design for Manufacturability, Assembly, Serviceability, Cost principles, and Engineering Change Management
• Experience in 3D Modeling and assembly using Creo/UG NX/any PLM/PDM
• Experience in OEM Component selection and working with P&ID.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in Semiconductor Wafer Fab Equipment (WFE) domain
• Experience in Plastic materials, Plastic manufacturing processes (Machining and Jointing / Traditional / Additive Mfg)
• Experience in Sheetmetal design and manufacturing processes
