You will be working as Project Engineer, reporting to Engineering Manager for Electrification Business Area for Distribution Solutions Division based in Hyderabad. In this role you will act as the responsible engineer (design authority) for assigned engineering assignments efficiently and cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.

Your responsibilities

• Create the digital engineering design concept/ philosophy definition. Evaluate and apply standard techniques, procedures, and criteria to perform engineering assignments. Reviews and approves design deliverables.
• Provide technical support for testing, installation, and commissioning activities.
• Provide Design Verification support to the assigned Factory/Local division.
• Creates work plans and cost estimates for work in own area of responsibility and proactively manages this work to deliver the agreed program on time, on quality and at the targeted cost.
• Utilize standard processes and programming tools like PCM600, COM600, SSC600, etc.
• Responsible for Digital Engineering, IED programming, Controls and design, communication, Networking based on the customer SLD and specifications
• Understanding the SLD and specification, Clarification of scope details.
• Necessary Test plan and Test Case Specification that contains all details needed to perform the specific test and Execution of those test cases.
• Implement the changes approved by Project Manager or Lead Engineer

Your background

• Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Electrical or Electronics / Communication / Instrumentation.
• Minimum 2-5 year of project experience.
• Knowledge of Electrical distribution and automation, power systems, Protection & Substation Automation and Automation, basics of SCADA / PLC / RTU in Electrical and switchgear controls.
• Experience in Relay & IED configuration and programming.
• Familiar with international standards like IEC61850 protocols (GOOSE, MMS, SMV), DNP3.0, IEC104
• Experience in Switchgear and substation standard IEC 60947, IEC 61439 or equivalent ANSI / UL standards
• Hands-on exposure to ABB Relion IED based solutions and programming software.
