Actively promote the need to deliver projects to scope and recognize how this satisfies our customer commitments, provides innovative products to the marketplace and maximizes shareholder return. Acting under direction coordinate specific activities of integrated project and/or cross-functional teams to contribute to the successful completion of milestones. Operate in accordance with the standardized business rhythm that coordinates the activities of project management, finance and project controls teams. Support with the maintenance of project records. Assist with the production/maintenance of project artefacts (e.g. Work breakdown Structure, Cost Breakdown Structure, Responsibility Assignment Matrix, Responsible Accountable Consulted Informed (RACI) Matrix, time scheduling, resource planning, risk and change management controls, etc). Support the generation of Customer tenders working in accordance with the Bid and Pursue. Proficient in SAP for Invoicing, Purchase Requisition, Purchase Orders, Goods Receipt, Goods Issued. Proficient in MS EXCEL with advance level of expertise to consolidate the revenue profiling & Cash profiling. Handle day to day issues pertaining to SAP, invoicing, Purchase Order, Third Party vendor Invoices.

Duties & Responsibilities

What you\'ll do -

• Assist with the establishment and maintenance of cost and schedule baselines.
• Contribute to monthly variance analysis for explaining and interpreting impact against the baseline. Support with the completion and tracking of corrective/preventative actions.
• Actively collaborate with members of the project management function and wider global Smiths Detection business.
• Assist with the completion of project Kick-off and Sales to Project Management Handover.
• Support with finance management covering revenue recognition and reporting. Contribute to successful handover to service.
• Typical duties specific to Technology orientated projects include:
• Assist with feasibility or science and technology studies in accordance with the PEC Technology Development Management Process.
• Support the planning and execution of product development, enhancement or sustaining projects defined by an approved business case prepared by Product Management.
• Assist with the completion of specified actions associated with the resolution of field service issues or product complaints.
• Support supplier collaboration and the achievement of defined objectives.

The Individual

What you\'ll definitely need -

• Bachelor Degree.
• Developing knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. Waterfall, PRINCE2, Agile etc) gleaned from a mixture of experience, exposure and training.
• Awareness of planning methodologies/techniques and other aspects of project controls such as earned value management.
• Awareness of complex integrated technology-based sensor systems and the critical roles that the technology and products play in the market desirable.
• Developing awareness of the main priorities of typical cross-functions and how they operate and support the delivery of major technology projects (such as R&D, Legal, Finance, Supply Chain, Service etc).
• Experience of project management environment, with direct experience of engineering/technology or construction/infrastructure environments desirable.
• Developing verbal and written communication and people management skills.
• Good problem-solving skills.
• Recognition of the importance of baseline planning and scheduling, forecasting and estimating, cost/schedule integration techniques.
• Exposure to risk management tracking and the completion of corrective action plans.
• Initial exposure to the use of estimating, scheduling, risk and change software tools such as: SAP, Primavera, Oracle ERP, MS Project, Pertmaster, Active Risk Manager, Cobra, Power BI.
