You will be working as Project Engineer and will be part of Process Automation Business Area for Energy Industries division based in Bangalore, India. In this role you will be reporting to Senior Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing authority for an engineering discipline with low to medium complexity. Completing assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Your responsibilities Providing technical support for testing, installing and commissioning activities Preparing proposal or presentation of engineering projects or programs (provision of bills of materials, estimated engineering hours, etc) Supporting contract managers in issuing claims, new or change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact, risk quantifications, etc., providing cost effective quality solutions as per customer requirement and delivering within budget and contract Providing support, technical advice to colleagues, assigning tasks for directs engineers, technicians and administrative staff Carrying out the project engineering schemes, line diagrams, graphic design, preparation of FAT, SAT related to the project and performing the tasks by following the approved engineering process documents Assisting customers on technical issues, interacting with official contacts, contractors and other staff within his or her scope of deliverables Your background B.E or B.Tech in Electronics or Electrical or Instrumentation Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in automation world either through engineering, commissioning, testing of automation systems, etc Hands on experience on various field bus protocols (like profibus, modbus TCP or Ip, profinet, IEC, foundation field bus, etc), HMI or application development and application programming using IEC61131 languages Working experience in power plants (thermal or solar or hydro or gas) and experience of closed loop control system for power plant applications Knowledge of structural, functional architecture of control systems and experience in 800xA, S plus is added advantage More about us ABB Energy Industries is enabling safe, smart and sustainable projects and operations for businesses across the oil, gas, chemicals, life sciences, power generation and water sectors.
