Role description: Geology/Engineering/Environmental Sciences knowledge with field experience in Environmental assessments and Remediation desired Very strong focus on data skills: data engineering, management and visualization Ability to translate environmental problems through digital and data solutions Commitment to data quality at all levels and scales and ability to effectively apply data governance principles to environmental project management Strong organisation Skills - ability to work independently and as a team and ensure communications are effective Strong Technical writing skills Problem solving skills Managing a team and medium to large portfolios/projects Knowledge of Contaminated Land Risk Assessment and Remediation technologies Work experience in Environmental Consultancy or any other company with focus on Environmental Assessments & Remediation Proficiency in AutoCAD / GIS Software / Rockware / EVS / EQuIS A good team player with strong communication skills A positive attitude towards Health & Safety A desire to engage with a global team Proficient in commonly used Microsoft Office 365 apps Able to work independently and demonstrate initiative Networking, communication and people skills Flexibility in working hours. Role accountabilities: Manage small projects and deliver technical solutions to complex problems This role may require the management and scheduling of a wider team of junior staff, including overarching responsibility for team project delivery, quality, training, development and wellbeing Ongoing liaison with US resource planners to ensure the suistainable utilisation of the team and collation & delivery of timesheets to the US finance team to allow processing Becoming familiar with relevant US Health and Safety (H&S) Regulations and Arcadis\' safety procedures to promote a culture of \'Safety First\' and ensuring H&S issues are adhered to in your day to day role which may include preparation of health and safety plans for projects in the US Prepare, review, and update environmental investigation and recommendation reports. Should be adept at technical reporting Working with large and disparate environmental datasets and use of BI and visualization tools to aid environmental management and decisioning Interpretation & evaluation of data (Desk Study) & assessments of relevant project sites to include the assessment of the geology, hydrogeology, potential contaminant sources (with preliminary risk assessment), engineering geology appraisals, other relevant and related aspects (site specific) and provision of recommendations. All to be reviewed and/or developed with very limited to no oversight Provide technical-level support for environmental remediation and litigation projects, including remediation system design and determination of regulatory applicability.Understanding Civil drawings & interpreting drawings and data for design purposes Provide Technical training & support to junior staff and scale up skills with current market trends Assist senior & principal consultants on project and/or portfolio delivery with high quality and within deadlines Processing data from intrusive site investigations (for example geological logs, chemical laboratory data and geotechnical laboratory data) for presentation and interpretation as required by the Project Manager Data presentation in a range of software products including MS Office applications. Previous experience in use of GIS / AutoCAD software and/or EVS would be advantageous but not essential Provide administrative support for projects by collecting data, providing project documentation, training staff, and performing other general administrative duties. Assist in budget implementation, forecasts, and administration Fulfilling duties within the Arcadis business management system including the completion of mandatory training, timesheets and other submissions as required. Qualifications & Experience: Degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering related discipline for example: Environmental Geoscience, Environmental Engineering or Civil, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering with focus on Environment related work Masters degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering related discipline (or similar subject) desirable with focus on Environment 6+ years of experience working with Environmental Consultancy or any other company conducting Environmental Site Assessments and Contaminated Land Remediation.
