About the role:

As Program Officer (PO), you help to translate strategic plans and decisions into operations under the leadership of the Program Lead and help to ensure that the programs run smoothly. You will report to the Senior Program Manager and work closely with the program team. In addition to the program, you may be called upon by the Programs Director to support operations across other sectoral programs in the country.

Key Responsibilities:

- Workflow Management: Responsible for management of internal organization protocols for workflow management on Salesforce, as well as maintaining track of deliverables towards program funders/ donors in terms of reporting, etc.

- Overall Program Support: Responsibilities will include drafting progress reports, meeting minutes, program structures and templates, project applications management and negotiations, contract management, budget management on a project level and monitoring & evaluation activities, as well as gathering, collating and analysis of required information.

- Stakeholder engagement: Maintain connections with existing program stakeholders, including implementing partners and vendors to ensure that contracted deliverables are on track and in line with organization requirements.

- Meetings, events and workshops: Responsible for logistics, reporting and review of meetings, events and workshops within the team and between organization, governance bodies and partners. Support the planning, organization and coordination of the mentioned above meetings, events and workshops as required.

- Communications: Support the need for news, insights, case studies, testimonials and coordination of vendors as needed for the delivery of communication assets.

Essential skills & competencies:

- Bachelors/ Master\'s degree with at least 3-5 years of experience, preferably in business or sustainable development or another relevant field of expertise

- Experience in program management and operations eg: Working on ERP, CRM, monitoring and evaluation frameworks, project reporting and budgeting.

- Use and experience working on systems like Salesforce for workflow management.

- Proven ability to establish strong relationships and build rapport with stakeholders and clients

- Affinity with either: sustainability, international trade, supply chains and/or agri commodities.

- Excellent spoken and written communication skills in English.

- Ability to organize and prioritize work, multitask and meet strict timelines.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office: ability to present outputs for external communication and use on Word & PowerPoint; and ability to navigate and use Excel for program management.

Desirable skills:

- Some experience with stakeholder management and developing joint agenda with different stakeholders in India (e.g. government, private companies, community organizations, international organizations, NGOs).

- Working experience and knowledge of the agri sector and sustainability issues

- Experience in research, data/ financial management, writing papers/ proposals

- Experience of working with international donors and projects, or with private sector sustainability teams.

- Experience in working with virtual or remote team members.
