EQ India Career Returners Programme: Program Manager

Location: Chennai / Bangalore

Mode of Operation: Hybrid

You will be an experienced professional who has had a career break of 18 months or more (as of March 2024) for childcare, eldercare or other reasons. You may have been working small-scale around your other commitments or you may not have done any paid work at all during this period.

Business Function:

The EQ Retirement Solutions Client Project Delivery team is responsible for delivering programmes and projects within the EQRS Business change portfolios to meet the Group\xe2\x80\x99s strategic growth and development objectives and priorities. The portfolio includes technology migrations, product development, Regulatory changes, Client and Customer data migrations, business acquisitions and system integrations and upgrades.

Core Responsibilities:

• Managing a complex programme or multiple projects/workstreams throughout the project life-cycle.
• Line management of India based project managers including

• onboarding and setting up the team for success
• initial onboarding and career progression training
• setting of goals and objectives
• monitoring of individual & team performance
• Resource management across the change programme including risk assessment and prioritisation of current & future workloads
• Adhering to an agreed Project Management Methodology, ensuring that the appropriate levels of governance are applied to all stages of the programme life cycle.
• Ensuring delivery to agreed business/Client objectives, requirements, schedules, costs and quality objectives
• Identifying and managing risks, issues and dependencies that could threaten delivery timeline, cost or quality
• Proactively identifying countermeasures and recommending and/or taking appropriate action to overcome delays, issues, challenges or cost over-runs
• Chairing internal and joint client project meetings

Skills, Capabilities & Attributes

• Demonstrable track record of a successful delivery of a complex project/portfolio of projects \xe2\x80\x93 both IT and Business Change.
• Demonstrable delivery of a complex transformational BPO Project would be advantageous.
• Experience of building quality cross function programme delivery teams
• Ability to provide leadership and motivate a project team to meet the project\xe2\x80\x99s objectives.
• Strong senior stakeholder management skills, confidence to positively influence and challenge, supportively and effectively.
• Experience of managing projects using a range of methodologies within an Enterprise organisation.
• Excellent at managing all budgetary aspects of a portfolio, forecasting, reconciliation of actuals and support of invoicing.
• Experience of delivery with and managing 3rd party suppliers
• Solid problem solving and decision-making skills, demonstrable track record of finding consensus with Senior Stakeholder Groups

Experience gained within financial services or other regulated environments is desirable.
