Duties Basic Function of the Position: This position is located in the Office of Defense Cooperation (ODC), U.S. Embassy, New Delhi. The incumbent will serve as Program Assistant for Defense Cooperation in Armaments and will provide complete Science and Technology (S&T) program management, logistical, data analysis, data entry, advice, and administrative support to the Director \xe2\x80\x93 Defense Cooperation in Armaments (DCA) in carrying out day-to-day Program Management, support, and administrative functions. S/he will make contributions to ensure efficient management of S&T programs reporting requirements such as planning, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting results. S/he will maintain the filing system (both electronic and paper files), schedule activities and appointments, provide support for preparation of correspondence and documents, share relevant documents with other staff members, travel arrangements and liaison with the USG agencies and other offices that work in supporting the S&T programs. S/he will be responsible for organizing the S&T meetings and taking minutes of the meetings. S/he will also arrange logistic support for TDYers as and when required and registers visitors on the visitors\xe2\x80\x99 list. Perform liaison functions with multiple US services headquarters/agencies, Indian Ministry of Defense (MoD), Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO), American Chamber of Commerce \xe2\x80\x93 Defense Committee, Foreign Commercial Service in the Embassy, Army Headquarters, Air Headquarters, Naval Headquarters, and Coast Guard Headquarters for the purpose of coordination, expert advice, and administrative support related to the S&T engagement/program. S/he will be expected to be on-call/standby. The incumbent will also perform other duties as assigned by the agency.

Qualifications and Evaluations
Requirements:
EXPERIENCE: This position requires three years of experience in technology research and development, or program management, information collection and analysis in an office environment, and experience in communication is required.

Education Requirements:
This position requires successful completion of Bachelor\'s degree in Science, Technology, or Engineering.

Level 4 (Fluent) in English (Speaking, Reading, and Writing) is required. This may be tested.

The pay plan is assigned at the time the conditional offer letter is issued by the HR Office. Other Information:
