The Professor in the Department of Chemistry will play a key role in fulfilling the college\'s mission.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing
leadership and direction to the department, teaching undergraduate and graduate level chemistry courses, conducting cutting-edge research, and contributing to the college\'s commitment to innovation and excellence in education.

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and direction to the Department of Chemistry
• Teach undergraduate and graduate level chemistry courses
• Conduct cutting-edge research in the field of chemistry
• Mentor students and encourage their participation in research and academic pursuits
• Engage in scholarly and professional activities to remain current in the field
• Collaborate with other faculty members and departments to promote interdisciplinary programs and initiatives
• Contribute to departmental and college-wide committees and initiatives
• Publish research findings in academic journals and present at conferences

Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in Chemistry or a related field is required.
• A strong record of teaching and research is preferred.
• The successful candidate should have the ability to teach a variety of chemistry courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
• Applicants with expertise in the following areas are particularly encouraged to apply: analytical chemistry, biochemistry, inorganic chemistry, organic chemistry, physical chemistry, and/or chemical education.
• Candidates should have a strong commitment to excellence in teaching,

research, and service, and should be able to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
