The Department of Tamil is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Professor to join its faculty. As a Professor in the Department of Tamil, you will be responsible for teaching Tamil language and literature courses to undergraduate students, conducting research, and contributing to the overall academic development of the department.

Responsibilities:

• Teach courses on Tamil language, literature, culture, and history to undergraduate students.
• Develop and deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and assessments that align with the department\'s curriculum.
• Conduct research in the field of Tamil language and literature and publish research findings in reputable academic journals.
• Supervise and mentor students in research projects and assist them in developing research skills.
• Participate in faculty meetings, departmental committees, and other administrative activities.
• Collaborate with other faculty members and external partners to enhance the department\'s academic offerings.
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of Tamil language and literature.

Qualifications:

• A Ph.D. in Tamil Language and Literature or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of teaching and research experience at the college or university level.
• Demonstrated expertise in Tamil language and literature.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proven ability to develop and deliver high-quality teaching materials.
• Experience in supervising and mentoring students in research projects.
• Strong research record and the ability to publish research findings in reputable academic journals.
