Job Description

A Production Planning Engineer/Assistant Manager role focuses on managing and optimizing manufacturing processes by creating detailed production schedules, coordinating with various departments like procurement and quality, monitoring inventory, and ensuring efficient resource allocation to meet production targets, budgets, and deadlines. Key responsibilities include analyzing data to improve efficiency, mitigating risks, maintaining quality standards, preparing reports for management, and resolving production issues to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery of products.
Key Responsibilities

  • Production Scheduling:Develop, implement, and manage production schedules to meet company goals and customer demand.
  • Resource Management:Ensure the efficient use of resources, including raw materials, equipment, and manpower.
  • Cross-Departmental Coordination:Collaborate with procurement, logistics, quality control, and other departments to ensure a seamless production flow.
  • Monitoring & Optimization:Monitor production progress, identify bottlenecks, and analyze data to find areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Inventory Control:Manage inventory levels to ensure the timely availability of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Quality & Compliance:Ensure products meet established quality standards and comply with relevant industry regulations and safety policies.
  • Reporting:Prepare and present production reports to management, detailing performance, issues, and forecasts.
  • Problem Solving:Address production disruptions, productivity issues, and production-related problems, escalating unresolved matters to management.
