Required Skills and CompetenciesTechnical Skills

Sound understanding of

mechanical fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly

processes. Ability to

read and interpret engineering drawings

and process sheets. Familiarity with

production planning tools, Excel, and data analysis

for tracking performance. Knowledge of

Lean Manufacturing, 5S, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)

preferred.

Managerial and Behavioral Skills

Strong

leadership and people management

skills to handle diverse shop-floor teams. Firm but fair in maintaining discipline and achieving output. Excellent

problem-solving

and decision-making skills. Ability to

analyze productivity and process performance

using data. Strong

communication

and

coordination

ability across departments. Hands-on, proactive, and willing to lead by example.

5. Qualifications and Experience

Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).

7-15 years of experience

in fabrication or capital equipment manufacturing (preferably dryers, process equipment, or heavy fabrication). Experience in

supervising 20-50 workers

across shifts. Proven track record of

improving productivity and meeting project deadlines
