Job Description

Plan and supervise daily production activities across pulp preparation, paper machine, and finishing sections. Ensure optimal utilization of raw materials (pulp, chemicals, additives) and monitor wastage levels. Maintain production schedules to meet customer demand and dispatch timelines. Supervise shift staff, assign tasks, and ensure adherence to work instructions and SOPs. Monitor and control process parameters of paper machines for quality output. Collaborate with the quality assurance team to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions. Ensure proper maintenance coordination to reduce equipment breakdowns and production downtime. Maintain accurate records of production output, machine efficiency, and shift performance. Ensure workplace safety, cleanliness, and compliance with environmental and statutory regulations. Assist in cost control and waste reduction initiatives (e.g., rework minimization, energy saving). Lead daily production meetings and report performance to senior management.

Key Requirements

:

Diploma/Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Production Engineering. 3-6 years of relevant experience in paper manufacturing (preferably Kraft, duplex, tissue, or newsprint). In-depth knowledge of paper manufacturing processes, paper machine operation, and pulp handling. Experience in managing shift operations and team supervision. Familiarity with preventive maintenance and TPM practices is a plus..
