Production Engineering Specialist

You will be working as Production Engineering Specialist, reporting to Production Engineer Manager for Electrification Business Area, Smart Power Division based in Bangalore. You will be responsible to optimize the Production organization's assembly methods, processes, and equipment in order to minimize labor hours in accordance with business strategies related to quality, efficiency, costs and safety.

Your responsibilities

• Responsible for Product testing at third party Labs resulting in certification.
• Follow safety, calibration record and Lab documentation. Be part of Cross Functional Team in solving product / part issues.
• Responsible for specification for Test bench, further validation, and approval.
• Document test results and update internal process/procedure documents and instructions.
• Design and develop jigs and fixtures required for testing.
• Follow HSSE norms of PPE, LOTO, material storages and handling etc., raise alarm for risk, if any and maintain housekeeping in lab area.

Your background

• Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering.
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience preferably in test Lab environment.
• Strong experience in low voltage switchgear product domain.
• Good knowledge of Control gear and Switchgear specifications.
• Good knowledge of Product standard of IEC 60947 series.
• Knowledge on development of Fixtures & test setup. Ability to interpret product standards.
