About the Role

As a

Production Engineer

, you will be the company's

eyes and ears on the factory floor

. Reporting to the Product Operations Manager, you will ensure every product coming off the assembly line meets NUUK's uncompromising standards of

quality, functionality, and design

.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Production Execution for Assigned Products

Own the end-to-end production lifecycle:

pilot batches ? ramp-up ? mass production

. Ensure complete

line readiness

including fixtures, jigs, tools, manpower, QC plans, and BOM availability. Conduct pre-production reviews and daily readiness checks.

2. Coordinate Between Company & Manufacturing Partners

Act as the primary production coordinator for schedules, line changeovers, and material flow. Align with product, sourcing, QC, and supply chain teams to keep production on track.

3. Drive Throughput & Line Efficiency

Monitor station-level cycle times; identify bottlenecks and drive improvements. Support line balancing with factory engineering teams to optimize operator allocation. Track daily

plan vs. actual

and enforce recovery actions.

4. Manage On-Ground Issue Resolution

Handle real-time issues: shortages, rework, fixture or tool failures, manpower gaps, and delays. Conduct structured

Root Cause Analyses (RCA)

and close corrective actions. Provide clear, concise daily production updates.

5. Support Cost & Commercial Alignment

Validate factory claims related to manpower, rework, tooling, and capacity. Escalate cost implications of process or quality issues promptly.

Requirements

B.Tech

in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Production Engineering.

2-4 years

hands-on experience running production lines in consumer electronics or appliances. Strong technical understanding of assembly, testing processes, fixtures, and tools. Excellent coordination and communication skills; ability to stay calm under operational pressure. Commercially aware with a structured, analytical approach to problem-solving. Comfortable working on factory floors and frequent travel during production cycles.
