Sureify is looking to hire a highly technical Product Manager to help architect the next-generation compute platform for digitally-delivered life insurance. You’ll be guiding the team that builds that software in support of a suite of business applications and their worldwide delivery teams, all of whom count on a high performance, reliable, extensible backend. You: You used to write code, but now manage technical products. Maybe you have spent time as a product owner for the APIs, or maybe you’ve managed backend teams, analytics tools, data warehouses, or an engineering team. You enjoy working with a team of smart engineers to build a backend the best way possible. Maybe you’re still dangerous enough with code to hack things on top of APIs, but you like whiteboards, big-picture thinking, and communicating, even more. Come talk to us.

Requirements

Must-haves:

• A keen analytical mind and a passion for software that lets us all build more software
• Experience working with a PaaS or highly-configurable cloud applications
• Familiarity with APIs and API-driven applications
• Interest in taking a platform from v0.8, to v1.0, and beyond
• Deep empathy for users, software developers, internal constituencies and external customers
• A collaborative approach to working with other groups, including engineering, UX, sales, marketing, professional services, and partners
• Experience with agile software engineering teams
• 2+ years of product management experience

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience with data warehouses, data lakes, data marts, etc.
• Experience with backend integration solutions (messaging frameworks, workflow engines, etc.)
• Experience at a SaaS company, with opinions about what SaaS means across various dimensions
• Experience serving the enterprise business segment
• Familiarity with Swagger or other API definition tools
• Managed releases as part of a continuous or release train model
