Product Manager Pyro - Kilns (Cement Industry)

About the role

You will be working with many stakeholders across the matrix organization, where you will set the direction and priorities globally for the different departments and functions working with the Kiln and Preheater Products.

Your tasks will be diverse, ranging from direct sales support to in-depth analysis of own and competitors' products and setting the direction for developments of the products.

You and your colleagues in the team have one major and overriding objective which is to serve our customers by matching our offerings with their business needs. You use your considerable product and commercial know-how to listen to the market and enable you to support a sustainable development of our products, business, and sales growth.

Ultimately you and the team will be measured on the global business results of the product line.

About the department

You will be part of a global team of Product Managers for various Pyro Products, and be reporting directly to Global Product Manager, Morten Hansen in our GPLM Pyro organization.

Your responsibilities

• Define product offerings and support Proposal and Sales functions with compelling value propositions, differentiators, go-to-market strategies and tactics, product presentations at customer meetings, etc.
• Analyze own and competitor performance to drive the right improvements of product competitiveness together with a matrix organization in Supply Chain, Engineering, R&D and more
• Drive global product branding with use cases, articles, testimonials etc.
• Develop ways to combine offerings within products, services, and digital to grow the business
• Analyses global sales support needs including training, sales materials etc. for product and parts offerings
• Interface with internal Product Line Procurement for product and parts sourcing
• Engages key stakeholders in all activities
• Builds strong networks within FLSmidth to build and enhance global sales opportunities of our products

What you bring

• You have minimum an Engineering Bachelor Degree and preferably have build-up a product line management record.
• Experience with Cement pyro processes and operation
• A commercial work experience from the cement industry, preferably working with products bundled with aftermarket services.
• You are comfortable maneuvering in an international and multi-cultural setting and know how to behave between geographical, cultural and social diversities.
• You will have many touch points both internally as well as with externally why your ability of working with others is essential in this position.
• You implement activities with a positive attitude and work persistently to support and actively engage in closing task's and achieve the targets.

Your base station is in our office in Chennai, India wherefrom you are expected to travel approx. 30 days/year supporting sales visiting customers etc. . You should be fluent in English.
